The Use of Tyre Changing Machines at a Tyre Safety Centre
by Brian, under Cars, Safety & Advice.
Safety centres were created for the people to educate them about tyre safety, and help change their tyres in a safe and effective way. There are quite a few tyre changing machines at the tyre safety centre, where the public can go and have their tyre changed.
Many times there are people over there, who will help you, change the tyre of the car, but many times there won’t be anyone and you will have to do the changing yourself. It will be better if change the tyre yourself because it will not cost you anything, and will you end up learning about changing the tyres, plus it is always safer if you do it.
How to Change Tyre at the Tyre Safety Centre
Now this question can only be answered by you. There are a couple of ways with which you can learn how to change the tyres of your car.
The first step is when you bring in your car for the tyre changing to the safety centre, and if there is someone there that will help you a change the tyres of the car. Just watch them closely, how they do it. You can even ask questions on how the whole process is done and they will guide through the whole process. This method is the best way of learning as you get your tyre changed, and you get to learn from a professional on how it is done.
The next way is to learn of the internet or the manual of the car on how to change the tyres of the car. The instructions you get will be something like this:
- Place the tyre rim on the machine and make sure the locking stub is coming exactly in the centre, and now place the rim valve stem facing up from the side
- Now fix the tyre by putting the locking cap on the locking stub and tightening it
- Remove the air from the from the foot pedal and break the bead of the tyre
- Remove the bead breaker arm and place it back in its old position
- With the help of soap water a lubricant push in the bead spoon in between the bead of the tyre and the rim of the wheel disc
- Push the spoon downwards and lock it with the stub lock
- Hold the spoon firmly and press the pedal, it will start to turn and the remove t tyre from the wheel
- Now to put the new tyre on to it and the repeat the whole process, the only difference will be that instead of putting the spoon inside the bead, press the bead in to the tyre rim and place the spoon above in between it
- Press the pedal and the tyre will go inside the rim
- Fill air in the tyre from the valve
This is the process, in the tyre safety centre, with which it is done and is quite easy once you get the hang of it.
